My favourite habit for having a clear mind.

It is commonly believed that when You have clear space You have a clear mind. I agree. Whenever I am in my worst period of time You can realize this when you walk into my room. It is messy, my desk is unorganized and full of leftovers or books. On my chair lay tons of clothes. The same situation is in my mind. I am exhausted, I struggle with my demons: procrastination, laziness and not knowing what to do with my life. Our space perfectly reflects what is going on inside our heads and how we feel about ourselves.

When the room that you work in is pretty, has cool neon, there is a lot of light coming from the windows, you probably are happier and more eager to work than someone who works in an old room with only one tiny lamp. That’s why it is vital to take care of the space we spend the most time in and to decorate it to feel good.

How to always keep our space tidy? Here comes my habit. Every day around evening I set the timer for 10 minutes and I clean my room. Not clean in a sense where I vacuum or wash my windows but mostly what I do is organize all of this stuff that earlier I didn’t want to put back in their places like books or clothes. The most important thing for me is my desk. When I see on my desk food from last night or some opened notes it makes me extremely unmotivated and frustrated. However, when I sit at my desk which is tidy and organized I am happy to begin working.

What do You think about this habit? Let me know! :)
